The education of international students in New China began in 1950 and has witnessed great development in recent years. Statistics show that 363 universities in 31 Chinese provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities (not including Taiwan Province, Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions) received large number students from l69 countries to study in China. Chinese universities provide both diploma education and non-diploma education, with the former including senior and junior undergraduate students, master's degree Students, and Ph.D. Students, and the latter including trainees and research scholars. Choose an academic program (undergraduate, postgraduate, or doctoral) that matches your interests. Ensure that the university is recognized by the Chinese Ministry of Education, and for Nepalese students, it’s recommended to select universities with good global reputations, such as those listed in the Project 211 or Project 985 universities. Many Chinese universities offer courses in English. The Chinese Government Scholarship is available for Nepalese students through the CSC. This covers tuition, accommodation, and a monthly stipend. Some Chinese universities offer their own scholarships, which are worth exploring. Nepalese students may also apply for bilateral scholarships, which are offered through partnerships between China and Nepal. While studying, international students may take part-time jobs or internships in China, but they must obtain permission from their university and the Public Security Bureau (PSB). China offers a rich cultural experience, with opportunities to explore historical landmarks, vibrant cities, and traditional Chinese festivals. International students are required to have medical insurance. Most universities provide affordable health insurance packages.
